Eyes Open
A new year has come. Trying to get back into the swing of things with posting art and writing blog posts. Earlier today, I watched the Nick Castle directed The Last Starfighter (1984) movie. Yes, the same Nick Castle that plays “The Shape” AKA Michael Meyers in the original Halloween (1978) movie.
When I was a kid, I thought that every kids’ dream was to play a video game so much that it somehow affected their life like in The Last Starfighter. Also, I had nightmares that my Cabbage Patch dolls wanted to kill my family (that’s a story for another day).
Watching the movie now, I’d say the graphics were pretty decent for 1984. I didn’t really connect with any of the characters in the movie other than the Beta Alex Rogan. Mostly because it accepted it’s fate and didn’t give up.
What does this art below “Eyes Open” have to do with The Last Starfighter movie? Nothing. It’s just what came out when I was watching the movie. Relaxing drawing. There is no deeper meaning to this, unless you want there to be (in your mind).
